From breaking stereotypes to playing sports to signing up as an athlete for the Optimum Nutrition team, Afshan Aashiq's ascent through the tiers of Indian football is a heart-warming story. She was among the first female footballer out of Kashmir. She started her academy for girls and was even honoured as a Fit India ambassador and appreciated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi. Her journey is equal parts grit, passion, and commitment, encouraging young girls to dream big in the process. When Afshan was in football camps during the season, her nutrition was always taken care of, but during the off season, Optimum Nutrition helped her train hard and stay fit.
